They've been told to be gone by tomorrow, but Occupy Wellington protesters say they have no intention of leaving.
The protesters, part of a global movement against corporate greed, sparked by New York's Occupy Wall Street movement, have been camped in Civic Square since October 15.
They were issued an eviction notice by the Wellington City Council on December 22, ordering them to be out by 4pm tomorrow.
But today, protest ''facilitator'' Benjamin Easton said they would not be leaving.
''There's no intention to move.''
Instead, they would go to the council offices tomorrow and present them with a letter outlining their position, which included that it was unfair of the council to issue a notice just before the council closed for the holiday period, providing the protesters with no opportunity to negotiate.
''It's really quite prejudiced and predetermined without any opportunity for us to reply.''
