Mitt Romney attends fund raising event hosted by convicted cocaine trafficker

From examiner.com

Mitt Romney recently attended a campaign rally in Florida that was hosted by a man who was part of a drug ring that was caught trying to smuggle over 2,000 pounds of cocaine into America.

Reinaldo Bermudez, 38, is the owner of Palacio de los Jugos, located in Miami, Florida. Bermudez was a member of a gang that was arrested in 1997 for trying to smuggle over a ton of cocaine into

The United States. He served 3 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

It has been locally reported by miaminewtimes.com that Bermudez was vetted by The Secret Service previously because Mitt Romney wanted to use a vegetable stand for campaign purposes. The date and time of this Secret Service investigation is unknown.

Which only implies that his campaign staff thought it would be a good idea to attend an event hosted by a convicted drug dealer.

This rally was held despite the fact that Bermudez is not legally able to vote because of his previous felony convictions.
