The Executive Committee of the European Federation of Public Services (EPSU) decided to coordinate on November 30th across Europe a day of joint action against austerity and for Social Europe.
EPSU trade unions will protest together against a range of austerity measures being taken, including attacks on trade union and collective bargaining rights, cuts in staff, wages, and pensions, and reductions in public services to citizens. Workers, their families and their communities are asked to pay for a crisis that they did not cause. It is time for governments to tax speculation, the wealthy and the banks in order to address inequalities, create employment and strengthen public services.
